The Contest Description
Imagine members of the 1963 Pelham College expedition returning to their campus to attend the Pelham College Lives of Consequence Alumni Award Lecture. Submit a Fan Fiction entry that takes place at Pelham College before, during and/or after the lecture involving two or more of the characters from the 1963 expedition to Ellesmere Island. New characters are permitted.
Rules
- No entry fee or purchase necessary.
- Length: May not exceed 2,000 words.
- Deadline: 11:59 pm ET, November 28, 2024.
- Three prizes total: One for each place.
- Entries can only be submitted through the Fan Fiction tab as a word document at ericstephenmayer.com. All submissions will be acknowledged.
- Entries must be original, in English, and are considered complete when submitted. AI entries are permitted but must be identified.
- Entries should be identified only by the contestant’s email address.
- The judges’ decisions are final.
- Winners will be notified on January 31, 2025. Their names will be posted at ericstephenmayer.com.
- Contestants retain ownership of their submission but must agree to its unrestricted use by the author in all media formats, including the author’s right to any derivative work from the entry.
- Persons connected with the author, personally or commercially, are not eligible.
